In Haverford, daily outdoor training is Monday through Friday at 6am and 9:30am; 7am on Saturday and is not weather dependent. Check other locations for specific times.

YOGA
Platoon yoga is Wednesdays at 6am at our Bryn Mawr indoor location.

KETTLEBELL CLASSES

MUAY THAI BOXING
Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30pm
Saturdays 10:00am
This program is $80 per month or $15 per class.

Muay Thai or Thai boxing is the cultural martial art of Thailand. The origin of Muay Thai dates back several hundred years, and was, essentially, developed as a form of close-combat that used the entire body as a weapon.

Muay Thai uses the body to mimic the weapons of war. The hands become the sword and dagger; the shins and forearms were hardened in training to act as armor against blows, and the elbow to fell opponents like a heavy mace or hammer; the legs and knees became the axe and staff. The body operates as one unit. The knees and elbows constantly search and test for an opening while grappling and trying to spin an enemy to the ground for the kill.

Today, though the technology of war has advanced, the martial art form known as Muay Thai remains a firm part of the Thai culture. Through a unique opportunity coming to Platoon Fitness, you too can learn this ancient hand to hand combat technique through the expert training of 3 time Professional Muay Thai World Champion Heath "Cowboy" Harris.
